Nacho Average Review...

After a long fulfilling day at VIPHS, Kate Land and I drove a straight shot to Islands--a beach themed food chain that was established in 1982, and surprisingly underrated. Or at least, a single, exceptional item is underrated. Two words: Islands. Nachos. At a moderately priced 11.45 plus tax, these nachos pack a punch. The underwhelming flavor of the tortilla chip creates a perfect transportation of the guacamole, black beans, sour cream, salsa, and jalapeños. The second the carb-loaded chip hit our mouths, we melted in synchronicity, just like the cheese that was melted in each layer of the nacho pile. In addition to the lovely after-school snack, we were delighted to have the most pleasant server, who checked in on us periodically to see how we fared. At the end of the hearty meal, we washed our meals down with some refreshing Arnold Palmers (the tea-to-lemonade ratio was perfect). I'm not quite sure how the rest of the food goes over, but these nachos make up for any horrid outcome of this establishment. 9.5/10 surfboards.
